Denali Highway (AK Route 8)

The Denali Highway is a 142 mile long highway that connects the Parks Highway(AK-3) and the Richardson Highway (AK-4).  The Denali Highway is a gravel highway that is closed in the winter.   Three  remote lodges can be found on it.  And there is no cell service while traveling on a majority of this highway.  Off highway recoveries often take place in this area along with tows and tire changes due to the condition of the road.
